ANDREA CREWS X PRINTEMPS

A NEW AGE OF RECYCLING

ANDREA CREWS LOVES PRINTEMPS

When it comes to fashion, the words on everyone’s lips these past few seasons have been: "ethical", "responsible" and "slow". The implication? Conscious fashion geared more around originality than eco-nomic realism. To coincide with the (RE)CREATE, (RE)INVENT event at Printemps, the store has collaborated with French brand Andrea Crews on a capsule collection of 20 exclusive designs made from old stock of Au Printemps Paris and Brummell, the department store's own brand collections. The concept? You can get an eye-catching, ultramodern look and forget about "last-season’s cast-offs"! The capsule has been produced by Tissons la Solidarité, an organisation involved in fighting against exclusion of all forms by pulling together fashion, recycling and occupational reintegration.

ANDREA ANDREA CREWS, REBEL WITH A CAUSE

In the early 2000s, back when skinny jeans and head-to-toe black were the very height of fashion, Maroussia Rebecq – who studied at the Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux – founded the Andrea Crews label, establishing herself as the enfant terrible of a generation of designers who put creativity before marketability. Offbeat in style and nonconformist in philosophy, nearly 20 years have passed since the brand first launched its bold, unisex streetwear fashions featuring eco-conscious recycled and upcycled garments.
