4 MONCLER SIMONE ROCHA

When Simone Rocha’s Victorian influences meet Moncler’s technical excellence, the result is a powerful and graphic collection. Known for her wildly modern ready-to-wear, the young designer has created a feminine and romantic, yet original aesthetic for the Italian brand. Think cascading ruffles, ultra-fine lace, 3D embroidery and floral prints. In making romantic C19th clothing fashionable, Simone Rocha draws inspiration from her native Ireland.

6 MONCLER NOIR KEI NINOMIYA

In the style of his label, Noir, with its sculptural aesthetic, Japanese designer Kei Ninomiya – who started out at Comme des Garçons – is devoting his technical genius to another fashion house for the first time. The collection ranges from eccentricity (sophisticated chunky knits using pieces from puffer jackets as thread) to an almost austere elegance (the dominant black advocating monochrome). Rare refinement with an experimental edge that allows for an infinite variety of interpretations.
